Released on 18 October 1982 and featuring all 17 British number one singles in chronological order together with Day Tripper and Eleanor Rigby (considered to be part of double A side singles) and Love Me Do as it had just been re released on it’s 20th anniversary.
My version below is a first press with the matrix numbers PCTC 260 A-2 and PCTC 260 B-2. The labels at the time of a first press had the wording UNAUTHORISED PUBLIC PERFORMANCE, BROADCASTING, COPYING AND HIRING OF THIS RECORD PROHIBITED from around 11 o’clock on the perimeter text, a second press label, from 1984, would have UNAUTHORISED COPYIN, HIRING, RENTING, PUBLIC PERFORMANCE AND BROADCASTING OF THIS RECORD PROHIBITED.
The sleeve and inner sleeve are both in excellent condition, just a touch of ringwear. The record itself is also in excellent condition, the odd spot of very feint crackle but no skips, sticks or jumps
Estimated Value : £10 – £15
