Released in September 1984 in the UK and the US this is not strictly a John Lennon album but a project he started as a 50th birthday present for Yoko. It features twelve cover versions of Yoko’s songs by a variety of artists though three of them are by Harry Nilsson. The first track, Every Man Has A Woman Who Loves Him, is by John himself and the final track, It’s Alright, is by Sean. John also features on Now Or Never by the Spirit Choir, playing guitar. It did not chart.
The pictures below are of my copy which has the matrix numbers POLH13 A//2 ▽ 420 W and POLH13 B//1 ▽ 420 W. The record is in very good condition – it would rate as excellent if it wasn’t for one stick on Dream Love on side 2 – playing through with the odd bit of very feint crackle and the odd very feint tick. The sleeve is in excellent condition, just the smallest amount of ringwear, as is the included lyric sheet that also includes a short story(?) by Yoko called “A Crystal Ball”. It comes with a plain white inner.
Estimated Value : £5 – £10
