Released on 23 February 1979 in the UK and 20 February 1979 in the US, George’s first album of new material for over two years spent five weeks in the UK charts peaking at number 39 whilst in the US it managed to climb to number 14.
Recording took place between March and October 1978 during a happy time in George’s life – his son, Dhani, was born in August 1978 and he married Olivia in September 1978. The majority of the recording was done at George’s home studios at Friar Park, with strings being over dubbed at AIR studios in London, and amongst the contributing musicians are Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood and Gary Wright.
The front and rear cover photos of George were taken at Friar Park whilst the inner sleeve shows a picture of George with Jackie Stewart at the British Formula One Grand Prix and contains the lyrics, list of musicians, thanks etc.

UK First Press
The pictures below are of my first press copy which has the matrix numbers K 56562 A3 and K 56562 B3. It also has STRAWBERRY hand etched on each side. Visually the record looks excellent, just some odd light sleeve removal marks, and it plays through perfect, no background noise at all. The sleeve is in very good to excellent condition, just some light shelfwear, most noticable on the corners. The inner sleeve is hard to fault and is in excellent condition – no tears or seam splits.
