The third and final single issued from the Milk And Honey album, I’m Stepping Out was released in the UK on 15 July 1984 and a whopping four months earlier on 19 March 1984 in the US. It spent only two weeks in the UK charts, at numbers 88 and 89, whilst in the US it managed to climb to number 55.
The song was written after an enjoyable night out at a club whilst John was on holiday in Bermuda in June 1980 and was the first track attempted at the Double Fantasy recording sessions in August 1980.

The pictures below are of my first press copy which has the matrix numbers POSP 702 A//2∇420W and POSP 702 B//1∇420W. The record is in perfect condition, playing through with no background noisw whatsoever. The sleeve is also in excellent condition, just a touch of very light ringwear.
