From the Imagine album and one of John’s most popular tracks, this single was released in the UK on 18 November 1985 and spent two weeks in the charts at numbers 65 and 72. It was not released in the US until three years later, in November 1988 when it was used to promote the Imagine : John Lennon film, and reached number 80 in the charts.
Although it’s often said the lyrics are with Yoko in mind, have another listen/read – they could be an apology for Paul, or even Cynthia!

The pictures below are of my copy which has the matrix numbers R6117 A-1-1 and R6117 B-1-1-1. The record is in excellent condition, playing through beautifully throughout. The sleeve is also in excellent condition, just a touch of light ringwear and creasing.
