Released on 18 November 2016 to coincide with the DVD/Blu Ray release of the Eight Days A Week-The Touring Years documentary film , this is a remixed, remastered and expanded version of the 1977 album. The CD version was released two months earlier on 9 September 2016 to coincide with the theatrical release of the Eight Days A Week-The Touring Years film. In it’s first week of release the CD entered the UK charts at number 3 and became the 32nd Beatles album to enter the UK top 10. The title had slipped out of the UK charts by the end of October 2016 but re entered at number 68 with this vinyl release. The film, incidentally, was the 3rd highest grossing film in the UK on it’s opening weekend. The title, Live At The Hollywood Bowl, is also slightly different to 1977’s The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl!
Four new tracks have been added to this release, You Can’t Do That, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Everybody’s Trying To Be My Baby and Baby’s In Black, though Baby’s In Black has been released previously on the Real Love single release.
The pictures below are of my copy which has matrix numbers BG44532-01 A1 and BG44532-01 B1 with 5705499 also etched into the run off on each side. The fully laminated gatefold sleeve, inner sleeve and record are in perfect condition. I’ve also saved the sticker that was on the outside of the shrinkwrap.
