Following the poor showings of his previous releases Ringo was unable to secure a label to release this album in either the UK or US. RCA Canada released it on 24 June 1983 in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain and Holland whilst in Germany it was released on 16 June 1983 on the Bellaphon label. It failed to chart in any of these countries.
Recording of the album took place at Ringo’s home studios at Tittenhurst Park during various sessions between February 1982 and July 1982 with Joe Walsh acting as producer. The majority of the album was recorded by a core band of Ringo, Joe Walsh (guitar), Mo Foster (bass), Gary Brooker and Chris Stainton (both on keyboards). Other artists do appear throughout the album, most notably Eric Clapton and John Entwistle who both appear on, and receive a writing credit for, the track Everybody’s In A Hurry But Me.
The front cover of the album features a pre Beatle photo of Ringo that was taken in his youth in a photo booth. On the back cover the last track is listed as “Going Down” whilst the label on the record lists it as “I’m Going Down”.

German First Press
The pictures below are of my German first press copy which has the matrix numbers IP 260.16.029-A and IP 260.16.029-B-2. It also has SST etched into each side which stands for Schallplatten Schneid Technik, which is the disc cutting company based in Frankfurt. Visually the record looks in beautiful condition and it plays through just about perfectly, maybe the occasional touch of hardly noticable ultra light crackle. The sleeve is in excellent condition, just some very minor shelf wear and the slightest touch of ringwear. It comes with a die cut inner which is fully intact.
Estimated Value : £30 – £40
