Postcards From Paradise was initially released on CD only on 31 March 2015 in both the UK and US with the vinyl copy waiting until 1 June 2015 to make an appearance. As usual it failed to register in the UK charts and only managed a one week stay in the US at number 99.
It was recorded and mixed at the Roccabella Sudios in LA, plus some extra recording at Rydinghurst in the UK. As is the norm a variety of guest artists co write and appear on various tracks. Dave Stewart co wrote and appears on Rory And The Hurricanes and also plays on Not Looking Back. Joe Walsh co wrote and appears on Bridges and also plays on Postcards From Paradise. Steve Lukather co wrote and appears on You Bring The Party Down and also appears on Bridges, Right Side Of The Road, Island In The Sun and Touch And Go. Richard Marx co wrote and appears on Right Side Of The Road and Not Looking Back. Todd Rundgren co wrote and appears on Postcards From Paradise whilst Peter Frampton appears on Right Side Of The Road and Let Love Lead.
One Of The tracks on the album, Island In The Sun, was written by Ringo and “The All Starrs” which were Gregg Bissonette, Gregg Rolie, Richard Page, Steve Lukather, Todd Rundgren and Warren Ham.
