Released in October 1980 this album featured a hefty 10 tracks per side. Due to very little advertising by EMI it didn’t bother the charts too much until John’s death a few weeks later when it entered the top 20.

My version below has first press labels – the perimeter text starts EMI RECORDS LTD as opposed to ALL RIGHTS OF THE PRODUCER that appears on a second press and ends MADE IN GT BRITAIN as opposed to MANUFACTURED IN THE UK BY EMI RECORDS LIMITED on a second press – and matrix numbers PCS 7214 A-3 and PCS 7214-B-3.

The cover is in good condition, a little too frayed at the edges for my liking, and the record itself plays well all the way through. Some crackle here and there, though only really noticable during quiet parts, and the odd feint pop but no skips, sticks or jumps.

Estimated Value : £5 – £10
