I have 4 copies on vinyl, the 3 shown below and one in a box set

First Press

The pictures below are of my First press copy. Unlike a second press copy from later in the year it doesn’t have RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963 at 9 o’clock on the label. You’ll see that there is no SOLD IN THE UK…text across the centre of the record as appears on third presses from Spring 1965 and the perimeter text starts THE PARLOPHONE CO LTD… as opposed to THE GRAMOPHONE CO LTD…. which came in late 1967. The matrix numbers on this copy are 7TCE 760-1N and 7TCE 761-1N and has a KT tax code. Despite having numerous minor scuffs the record plays well throughout, just some light background crackle, moreso on side 2. There is also someone’s name written on the push out on the label though this is in dark ink so hardly visible. The original sleeve (later sleeves have a tab cut out on the rear at the opening) is in very good to excellent condition as can be seen by the pictures, just some minor ring wear. It has BuPr in the bottom right hand corner on the rear meaning it was printed by Buckland printers and not Garrod & Lofthouse

Estimated Value : £5 – £10

Second Press

The pictures below are of my second press copy. This has RECORDING FIRST PUBLISHED 1963 at 9 o’clock on the label where a first press doesn’t have this. The matrix numbers on this copy are 7TCE 760-2N and 7TCE 761-1N and has a KT tax code. The record plays excellent throughout, just some occasional feint crackle. The original sleeve (later sleeves have a tab cut out on the rear at the opening) is in very good condition as can be seen by the pictures, just some minor ring wear and creasing.

Estimated Value : £5 – £10

Fifth Press

The pictures below are of my fifth press copy from somewhere between 1969 and 1973. You’ll see that the perimeter text starts THE GRAMOPHONE CO LTD…. as opposed to THE PARLOPHONE CO LTD… and there is no SOLD IN THE UK…text across the centre of the record. Also the publishing year is shown as (p) 1963 at 9 o’clock. The matrix numbers are 7TCE 760-2N and 7TCE 761-1N and, although there is no tax code on the label itself, it has a KT tax code in the run out on side one and KMT in the run out on side 2. The record plays excellent throughout, just some occasional feint crackle. The original sleevewith the tab cut out on the rear at the opening is in excellent condition as can be seen by the pictures.

Estimated Value £5 – £10
