Released on 25 September 2006 in the UK and one day later in the US this is the soundtrack to the film of the same name that documented John’s struggles with the US government. Due to it’s more political/social content it’s not really a greatest hits package though the 21 tracks chosen from the 40 or so used in the film don’t disappoint. Two “unreleased” tracks were included – a live recording of Attica State from the John Sinclair Freedom Rally in December 1971 and an instrumental version of How Do You Sleep.
The UK CD release was a UK/Europe affair on Capitol records with UK catalogue number 3749122 and international catalogue number 09463-74912-2-5 whilst the US CD release was also on Capitol/EMI also with catalogue number 09463-74912-2-5. It came with a booklet containing a forward from Yoko, a few pictures and a little detail about each song. It failed to chart in both the UK and the US. There were no further releases after the original one.
The pictures below are of my UK copy. The case (usual slight storage marks), 12 page insert and disc are in excellent condition.
