Recorded on 17 October 1963 and sent out to fan club members on 6 December 1963 this first Christmas fan club flexi features a few renditions of Good King Wenceslas, messages from the band and a rendition of Rudolph The Red Nose Ringo. It is a one sided disc playing at 33 1/3 RPM and is housed in a yellow gatefold sleeve that has the National Newsletter No 2 printed on the inside. It is on the Lyntone label, catalogue number LYN 492, and it’s thought that around 30,000 copies were pressed.
You’ll see from the pictures below that my copy is in very good condition. The sleeve is intact though it does have a few feint stains and the “P” on the inside flap has been filled in with blue ink. I have not played the disc itself though it appears to be in decent condition. The word “FAN” on the label has also been filled in with blue ink. Overall a very good example of this release.
Looking at eBay at the time of writing (Feb 2016) these have sold from between £80 and £150 recently and there is currently one on “Buy Now” for £285 (yeah right).
Estimated Value : £100 – £150
