This double A sided single was released in the UK on 12 March 1984 and failed to chart. It was part of EMI’s “Golden 45’s” series which were released between 1984 and 1985 and consisted of a variety of “golden oldie” double A sided singles by a diverse selection of artists. This release has the catalogue number G45 2 and has an Apple label. The only other release in this series with a Beatles interest was Ringo’s It Don’t Come Easy backed by Back Off Boogaloo which has the catalogue number G45 13 – details of that release are here.
I have 2 different copies as shown below.
Push Out Centre
The pictures below are of my push out centre copy which has the matrix numbers G 45 2A-1-1-1 and G 45 2B-1-1-1. It also has NICKZ and PENTHOUSE etched into the run outs on each side. The record is in excellent condition, just some very feint crackle on Cold Turkey. The sleeve too is in excellent condition, just some light creasing and minor ringwear
Estimated Value : £10 – £15
Solid Centre
The pictures below are of my solid centre copy which has the matrix numbers G 45 2A-1-1-1 and G 45 2B-1-1-1. It also has NICKZ and PENTHOUSE etched into the run outs on each side. The record is in excellent condition, if there’s any crackle at all it’s very hard to spot. The sleeve is in very good to excellent condition, there’s some some light creasing and minor ringwear plus a few handling marks and a sticker removal mark on the front.
Estimated Value : £10 – £15
