Released on 14 January 2001, this promotional single was released in the US only to promote the newly remastered All Things Must Pass album that was due out there on 23 January 2001. Like the remastered All Things Must Pass album this single appears on the GnOM Records label.
The B side is a new version of My Sweet Lord with most of the original instrumentation replaced and new vocals added. George adds new slide guitar, his son, Dhani, adds new acoustic guitar whilst Sam Brown, the daughter of George’s friend Joe Brown, adds backing vocals and some lead vocal towards the end.
The sleeve is the same as the original single on the front whilst the rear shows a gaunt looking George in front of the same window as on the original All Things Must Pass poster. There’s even a copy of the original poster photo on the shelf behind George.
The pictures below are of my copy that has the matrix numbers 7PRO 15930-A G1 RM and 7PRO 15930-B G1 RM. It also has MASTERED BY CAPITOL etched into the run off on each side. The record is in excellent condition, both visually and playing wise. The sleeve too is excellent, just the slightest touch of ringwear.
Estimated Value : £20 – £30
