This bootleg originally came out in 1981 though I don’t know when my copy was pressed. There is no label mentioned on the sleeve or blank red record labels though it does have a catalogue number of JL517. The performances are taken from The David Frost Show on December 16, 1971, The Mike Douglas shows on February 14 and 18, 1972 and The Dick Cavett show on May 11, 1972. The recordings are of quite good quality though It’s So Hard is a little muddled and there is a fault on Luck Of The Irish (it’s definately the source recording and not the record itself).
My copy, which I bought at one of the many record fairs I visited in the early 80’s, is shown below. It has hand etched matrix numbers of JL-517-A and JL-517-B and plays excellent – there’s the odd bit of light crackle but, again, that could be the recording itself. The sleeve is also in excellent condition, just the slightest touch of ringwear and a couple of small creases. It comes with a plain white inner.
